Cribl Search 4.15.1 delivers usability improvements, boosts performance of the ipv4_is_private function, and addresses several important bugs.

Query Language

ipv4_is_private Gets Faster

The ipv4_is_private function now offers improved performance, especially when applied to large numbers of events.

Cryptographic Functions Return Proper Error Messages

The encrypt and decrypt functions now display meaningful error messages, instead of failing silently when an error occurs.

User Interface

Event Details Panel Uses Full Screen Height

The event details drawer now expands to fill the entire screen height for improved readability.

Saved Searches Are Easier to View

On the Saved Searches page, the Query, Earliest, Latest, and Packs columns are now hidden by default. To display them, change the table options in the top-left corner. Also, the built-in saved searches now point at users’ display names instead of their authorization provider IDs.

Names and IDs Are Easily Copyable

You can now copy the name or ID of a listed item (like a Dataset, Provider, or Lookup) by selecting . We also merged Names/IDs and descriptions into a single column for easier viewing.
