Use Outpost Group configuration to automatically upgrade Outposts.

Required Permission: Admin/Owner

Outposts are upgraded in bulk by setting the desired target version for the Outpost Group they belong to.

To automatically upgrade Outposts in a group:

1. In the sidebar, select Outposts.
2. In the row for the Outpost Group you want to upgrade, select the button in the Target Software Version column.
3. In the Target Version modal, select a version from the Upgrade target version dropdown. You have two options:
   • None - when set to None, the Outposts in the group will never upgrade automatically.
   • <version> (current leader version) - when set to this option, the Outposts will be upgraded to match the software version of the currently running Leader Node.
4. Confirm with Save.

The next time the Outpost in the selected group connects to the Leader, it will upgrade to the selected version.

Outposts in the selected group will not upgrade to any future version until you change the target software version in the drop-down (even if you upgrade the Leader).

The Add/Update Outpost Node command uses the Target Software Version for your Outpost Group when constructing the script for upgrading your Outposts.
